Meme Few and Far Interview

Who you are?
Hello! I write MEME. Nickname given to me by my grandmother. Which game?? Lol. I have been painting off and on for 12 years.



I grew up in a small town where I had never seen graffiti before. One day while out of town I saw a freight train with all these colors and shapes. It blew my freaking MIND! I went the next day and stole some spray paint from a hardware store. The rest is history.

Favorite thing to paint?
I love painting everything I can get my little hands on!! I'm new to the legal walls and productions. Just open to having fun and trying to get cleaner.



Any good chase story or buddy story?
I was painting somewhere cutty in Santa Cruz CA, a ditch spot while heavily intoxicated, which I'll leave some of that info out.
I had some guy friends up on the walkway above me. My friends were drinking all while trying to be look outs. I was pretty much in sewer water, down in this dark scary ass ditch. Suddenly I hear something running at me full speed!

I grab my bag, duck down to make sure no one sees me. The sound stopped. There was nothing I could see. I was spooked so I started painting very fast to finish and get the hell out of there! As I'm doing my last touches the thing comes at me full speed thrashing through the stink and mucky water -  soooo fast! All I see is a bunch of bright red eyes coming out of the darkness at me. Then I finally see it was three freaking deer. I jumped up the ladder so fast. I caught my thigh on barbed wire; I still have a small scar from that night.



Who are your favorite writers/artists worldwide?
Few&Far Women, the stick up girls, Mad C, Utah, Rime Msk, Revok Msk, Ewok Msk, Musa71, Vans the Omega, Wane COD among many others!

Is it different painting with men versus women? If so, how?
I just enjoy painting with nice people, doesn't matter their gender. Painting with my crew is always super fun, we end up laughing for hours.



What would you still like to accomplish in your career?
Travel the world with Few&Far. Paint, skate, all while helping the world be a better place, lending a hand to anyone or anything that may need it. All around good times and love.

What are the most important things in art for you?
Appreciating all kinds of art. Creativity is a blessing.



What are the greatest things about Few&Far?
Few&Far started from the bottom, we work our asses off to make our projects happen. We work as a solid team, We have become good friends while pushing each others art. We keep each other motivated while showing love to ladies that are dedicated to paint and skate! We inspire.



Any future projects you want to tell us about?
Dec 2012 Meme and Reds are heading to Asia.

May 18, 2013 We are doing our annual Female Skate Jam In Sacramento, CA.
